Common questions

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

Open the app and go to Profile → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy.

I want a refund — what do I do?

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds on Apple's behalf.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and the study data attached to it. See the privacy policy for detail on what is stored.

I'm not getting push notifications

Check both places notifications can be switched off:

  • Your device settings — Settings → Notifications → B1nary.
  • The app — Profile → Notifications, where the master switch and each individual reminder can be turned on or off.

If permission was declined the first time you were asked, the system will not ask again — you have to enable it in device settings.

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. You can start as a guest and study the free first module of any course. If you create an account later, your progress, streak and badges carry over — you are upgraded in place rather than starting again.

How does the 7-day free trial work?

Open Profile → Legal & Purchases → Plans & Pricing, choose a course in the trial section, and tap Start 7-day free trial. You get every lesson and quiz in that course for seven days from activation. Each account gets one trial and the course cannot be changed after it starts. No card is required and there is no automatic charge. When it ends, your progress is kept and the first module of every course remains free. Buy access separately if you want to continue the full course.

The app is crashing or behaving oddly

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If it keeps happening, email us with the details listed under Reporting bugs below.
